God’s Work Conference

Building Successful Kingdom Businesses

This May, we will be running our first ‘God’s Work’ conference in Blantyre, focused on encouraging Christians in business to grow in their relationship with God and to impact their communities in partnership with their local churches.

The ‘God’s Work’ conference is designed for people of all levels of Christian and business experience. Whether you are running a Christian business already and just want to experience more of God in your work or are thinking and praying about starting a business but don’t know how, this conference is for you!

The course leaders are both experienced and devoted Christian businessmen. Over the past 20 years Tony Hodges has built a 75 person company operating in the UK with offices in America and
Australia. His company works with clients such as British Airways and Intel. Their business is communicating complex financial information to employees. Nigel Allen has recently started his own consultancy but for many years was European Head of Training for MacDonalds.

Ed Ravenhall is married to Sue and has two married daughters with five grandchildren.  Having spent the first 17 years of his career in the heavy engineering business, he and Sue were called by God into missions almost 30 years ago, and since then they have lived in the United Kingdom and Africa, serving in many nations.  Working with the international and interdenominational organisation Youth With A Mission, Ed is now an elder of YWAM (Scotland), where they live, but travels extensively in Africa training missionaries and pastors, mentoring Christian leaders, and also undertaking community development projects, (such as school and clinic construction and water projects), with fellow engineer and friend Alan Marley.  Having lived in many places, he has been a local church leader in six churches across four different denominations, and is passionate about seeing God’s kingdom built by the whole Church working together to complete the whole purposes of God. This will be Ed and Alan’s third visit to Malawi.
