The House of Prayer Discipleship Training School invites you into a rhythm of intimacy and engagement that we believe will transform both you and the nations through you! It is in the place of intimate communion with the Father that a passion to impact the nations with His love and power is birthed. During the HOP DTS you will join in with our daily seeking of God in our community worship and intercession times as well as in personal times of prayer in our custom built prayer house on campus. Out of this place of intimacy we will go out to proclaim Jesus in love and power, serve the poor, bring healing to the sick and invite the lost into the same intimate lifestyle we seek to cultivate.

YWAM DTS

The House of Prayer DTS will be a life changing 5 1/2 months of training and outreach: putting into action what we learn. What does it look like when the Kingdom of God invades earth? How can we partner with the Holy Spirit to see Africa come into it’s God-given destiny? On this DTS we will equip you to release God’s heart through evangelism, prayer and action. The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a Christian programme that will challenge you to deepen your relationship with God as you get to know His character and His ways.

Why do a DTS?

The school is designed to help you understand God more deeply, live more like Jesus and identify your unique gifts and purpose to use in missions and in life! DTS will help you discover your place in the Great Commission and embark on a lifetime adventure with God. You will be joined by individuals from all over the world. Together, you will be immersed into a community dedicated to effectively reaching the world with the Gospel.

What is a Discipleship Training School (DTS)?

• It is a life changing 5 ½ month intensive practical training with Youth With A Mission
• It will unlock a doorway for you to serve as a missionary anywhere in the world
• It can be the beginning of a degree with University of the Nations
• It has been the catalyst that God has used to establish 14,000+ full time missionaries worldwide and launch hundreds of thousands of short- term missions
• It must be a time of deep encounter with the living God who desires to be known by us even more than we desireto know Him

Lecture phase

DTS begins with a three-month lecture phase in which you will discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. The lecture phase is an intensive, residential training course that runs 11 to 12 weeks. You will look at a different topic each week. The topics will consist of:

• God’s Nature and Character and knowing His Father heart
• Intimacy With God and how to hear his voice
• Spiritual Warfare & Intercession
• Knowing the Holy Spirit, (Equipping you to manifest His gifts and fruit)
• God’s Redemption: Sin the Cross and the victory of His resurrection in you
• God’s Family: His Children & His Church
• God’s World: His Call, His Commission & your call to missions
• Evangelism & how to preach the gospel heal the sick and release his kingdom
• And More……..

The beauty of the teaching on the DTS is that we have speakers from many countries who are living what they are teaching. This means they inform and impart anointing to put it into action.

Outreach Phase

The lecture phase is followed by the 2 month outreach phase. Outreach phase is what makes the YWAM-DTS experience unique. We believe that discipleship is not complete until you, a disciple, begin to make disciples. Your outreach phase will give you the opportunity to travel to a foreign culture on behalf of Christ. You will become His hands and feet in bringing hope to the world. It’s an experience that is bound to shake you to the core and it will define the way in which you view yourself in missions.

Accreditation & Requirements:

The DTS is accredited with the University of the Nations (U of N) and students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of completion.
Since it is a university level school the program is very full and demanding. This helps to shape and mould each student to be able to stand in the mission field/ministry after completion.
