WAM Blantyre operates several ministries that combine evangelism, discipleship, education, and community development. These initiatives serve children, families, churches, and communities across Malawi.
Bible Study Ministry
Strong communities begin with strong biblical foundations. The Bible Study ministry equips believers and church leaders with practical tools to understand and teach the Word of God.
This ministry includes training programs and community Bible study groups that help pastors and believers deepen their knowledge of Scripture and share it effectively in their communities. Many pastors in rural areas have limited access to resources, so these trainings provide essential biblical teaching and discipleship tools.

Education Project
YWAM Blantyre believes that education plays a critical role in shaping future leaders and strengthening communities. The ministry works with schools, teachers, and students to improve access to quality education and develop a biblical worldview in learning.
One major initiative includes Thanthwe 2 Christian Primary School, which serves a local community of more than 3,000 people and educates over 600 students through a partnership with the government.
The ministry also develops teacher training programs, educational resources, and digital learning tools to support schools across Malawi.

Children’s Ministry
Children’s ministry focuses on nurturing young people spiritually, emotionally, and socially. Weekly gatherings provide children with a safe environment where they can learn, play, and grow together.
Activities include games, teaching, mentorship, and home visits to support children and families in the community. These programs help children feel valued and encourage them to grow in faith and character.

End Bible Poverty
Many people in Malawi cannot afford a Bible because the cost can reach about-one third of a monthly wage for the average person. The End Bible Poverty initiative seeks to make Scripture accessible and affordable so that everyone can encounter God’s Word.
The project distributes portions of Scripture and encourages believers and churches to share the Gospel through Bible distribution and community outreach.
