Making the Word of God Accessible to Everyone

So many believers in Malawi cannot afford a Bible. At YWAM Blantyre we are committed to making God’s Word accessible and affordable so every person can read Scripture in their own language and grow in faith.

The team here at YWAM Blantyre Malawi have been gripped by the message that Loren Cunningham (founder of YWAM) shared about ending bible poverty now! We believe that this is an apostolic call to the whole church at this time and that it will be a big part in preparing the earth for Jesus to return, and in fact speed his coming as we push together to see every language have the Bible translated!

The Bible has only been available in Chichewa in a full Bible and New Testament version. Sadly, the cost of the full Bible is about 1/3 of a month’s wage for your average Malawian and that is way above the price that the poor can afford. People are always asking us for Bibles, but we also can’t afford to give out the number we are asked for, this is not as it should be! We have been gripped with a vision to make Bible poverty history here in Malawi by making the scripture available affordable.
